Re: [Avid-L2] Title Tool won't save titles

This happens to me on 6.5 randomly, but at least once per week. Usually, the second try works, but I am almost always editing an existing title from the timeline.  In your Avid Projects folder, there are two files for each failed title: XXX.PICT and XXX.PICT.desc.  you can delete them, but I do not know what they are or what causes them.

Yes.  It's happened to me.  On older versions.  It hasn't happened to me on 8.1 yet.

Is this happening with a new title or a pre existing one you are trying to edit?

I'm running MC 8.1 I open the title tool, create a simple title, and then try to save the title to the bin by closing the title tool. Nothing happens. When I go back to the Title Tool application and try to quit, it tells me "A title is currently being saved. Do you really want to close the Title Tool?" This lasts until I get frustrated and force quit Title Tool, with no title appearing in the bin.

It's just 2 lines of text on video. Couldn't be simpler. I've trashed MCState and user settings to no effect.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm working on a very old laptop — specs below. I'm hoping there's some solution.
