I can't disagree with you. However, I thought the OP would possibly benefit from that additional layer of information.
Reading the thread from start to finish is absolutely the way to go. However, it is quite long, and I only provided that starting link (which has been reportedly addressed by firmware) as a starting point to read the remainder of the entire thread.
I admit to being disappointing by the information in that thread. I was impressed with the 27" monitor at NAB and have mentioned it several time here on the L. It looked like a very economical, lower-end monitoring solution for an edit bay -- not for critical CC -- but quite useful nevertheless.
