That's what I'd heard. Now given the history of Davinci and tape to tape color correction are facilities that had traditionally been doing tape to tape work no longer doing outputs to tape with their systems? Are facilities with legacy systems switching over to Resolve and losing the robust ability to output to tape that the traditional systems had?
I'm a little fuzzy on things like how title tool etc... are handled in Resolve. IIRC they become place holders but will you see the text in some form while in Resolve? Also what about audio in various stem configurations is that something easily handled in Resolve?

I don't think a lot of people use the output to tape from resolve, regardless of their configuration.
So render in resolve, bring it in avid and output to tape. On the same or different machine.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Resolve output to tape?
It is my understanding the a typical Resolve setup on a macpro with a GTX-680 card and declink extreme 4K card is probably not going to handle an output to tape. I've been told that the function is there but in practice it will not actually work. Can anyone share their experience in this regard. I'm telling my post supervisor that I doubt our Resolve system will handle an output to tape and I don't want to mislead him.
