I know I suggested this many years ago, but I still think 
it would be helpful. I'd love to be able to load a clip 
into the Source Window and enable/disable the ability to see
what portions from that clip are in the sequence, and where.
Something like this comes to mind:

Additionally, it would be valuable to be able to modify the 
Match Frame feature (maybe with Shift+Opt/Alt) so that
when the originating clip is loaded into the Source Window,
that there are In and Out Marks that represent the 
beginning and end of that Segment in the Timeline.
