[Avid-L2] Re: Motion Effects Editor and 5D slo mo question

When you transcode the clip it takes on the frame rate of the project.  In my case when they cut in ama'd 23.98 footage into the 59.94 sequence for online and then transcode those clips and they become new clips at 59.94 and as long as the original ama'd clips had a field motion set to progressive the transcoded clips will have proper 2:3 pulldown.  In your case I would cutting in the 48 frame ama'd clips into the timeline those clips would get a motion adapter of 200% so they would play properly.  At that point you could promote the motion adapter and make it fluid motion and then transcode.  Do these clips play in slo mo half speed or in real time.  I know how my 23.98 clips behave in a 59.94 timeline but haven't dealt with over cranked footage from a 5D so I may be wrong on how those behave but I do no once transcoded the clips will be seen as having the native frame rate of the project and therefore will not have a motion adapter applied.
