Watch out for using Cinedek for recording extra long shows. It is better to break up the clips into 2 one hour recordings than try for 1 two hour file. Stagger record the decks so you don't miss anything.
Last year on a 2,5 hour Cinedek show with 10 cams and a line cut, we discovered a couple dropped frames that threw off sync for grouped clips. Each problem area had to be investigated by hand - breaking down every clip to find the dropped frames and then creating new groups for every problem area- which took considerable time. This problem was compounded by the offline online workflow because the online clips had different dropped frames than the offline clips...
Another thing involved tape names. We assigned unique reel ids as tape names to each Cinedek but discovered later that some of the metadata did not transfer over to the files. We tested this twice after the shoot and both times Cinedek dropped various tape names.
This was all reported to the president of Cinedek through the network but not sure if it ever got resolved.
