EVS is much more expensive and not nearly as flexible/portable. Cinedeck has embraced a more "deck Based" paradigm and is a viable option for many situations where EVS would NOT be practical.
Small studios, small remote productions WITHOUT a truck. These are situation where Cinedeck shines.
Permanent installs like stadiums, big trucks, etc. and EVS clearly rules. My point is that soon, nobody will be rolling tape anymore.
