Re: [Avid-L2] Re: OT: Headphone Repair in Los Angeles

David,

I'll check Amazon to see if they stock the pads for my Sony's - it's the mdr-cd770.  I've gotta say, I know they're almost 20 years old, but I've listened to all different kinds of headphones, and nothing has come close to these in fidelity (IMHO).  I'd even consider finding a new pair if I could if I can't find parts.

Bigfish,

I actually live near Speaker City and had thought of going there this weekend so thanks for the suggestion.  I've been in and around Burbank for 15 years and strangely have never stepped foot in Speaker City - I know that's not right, but at least now I've got a reason.

Thanks
Mark

Give Speaker City in Burbank a call.  They are mostly speakers and repair of speakers but they have a lot of experience so I'd bet they might have a suggestion.  Not quite Hollywood but if you squint you can pretend.  In the past I've found foam replacements for my sony headphones that are smaller non muff design.  It might have been at Fry's or maybe Radio Shack I stumbled on them.
