I agree.

Actually I think you are referring to the Script Based Editing feature, which is Avid's own thing, has been for a long time (I think it came from Ediflex). ScriptSync is only the recognition module.
I agree that SBE could use some TLC that would take it into this century — to put it mildly. But then again, the same applies to the Title Tool, the color corrector. And there's the crowd that insists on being able to work fully native with R3D and AVCHD and what not. Which makes you wonder if Avid is willing and able to decide what they want MC to be and for whom it is intended. It cannot be everything to everyone.
