Yep, just tried that and no change. I opened a case with avid so we will se what happens. Weird that it works with the thunderbolt hardware but no the PCI.

Try going to the 10.1.4 drivers. So far they seem like the best drivers BM has delivered in a few years. In any case I believe you have to install the drivers after you install Avid.

How old are the mac pros? We had problems with a BM card on an older mac pro that wasn't 64 bit compatible. The BM driver was 64 bit so we had to swap the mac pro for a newer unit. Make sure your macpro can handle 64 bit. system info will list the 64 bit kernel or something like that to let you know. From memory I believe you need a mac pro 3.1 or higher to do 64 bit. Someone please correct or confirm this information as I'm going from memory

We just upgraded to Media Composer 8.1 Most of our systems are iMacs using the thunderbolt mini monitor and they seem to work. One has a thunderbolt ultra studio and it digitizes as well as outputs. We have two older mac pro's with deckling cards in them. All the systems are running 10.8.5, MC 8.1 and BM 10.1.2. AVID on the Mac Pro! s sees the Blackmagic cards in the console, but when we go to use the Digitize tool, BM is greyed out under the audio and video inputs. Our projects settings are 1080i, 1920x1080. Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks,
Scott
