Black Frame was still there on the first frame of the insert edit. This time I added the time code generator to the sequence so I could clearly see the output is 1 frame late getting to the record deck. The VTR in point is frame accurate just the video signal is delayed a frame, like a frame buffer would do. I tried setting the Frame offset to 1 and even 5 and nothing changed on the edits using the nitris bob or the blackmagic sdi. As I changed the frame offset parameter I made sure to adjust the deck to the normal 5500 template and then adjust back to the modified template. I even tried restarting Avid after choosing the custom machine template just to ensure that Avid was reading the updated template from scratch. Nothing changed with anything. I also tried removing the field offset 1 line above this new text but still got the same results. Curious?

In the template there already existed a line:
SBVSTARTFIELDOFFSET 1
I tried adding both SBVSTARTFRAMESOFFSET 1 and
SBVSTARTFRAMEOFFSET 1 and even tried it setting the offset to 5 but running my nitris dx nothing shifted on in point, out point or timeline sync to rec deck. All made perfect edits.
Is this a command that would only have effect when I'm using the Black Magic Card for output?
Is it possible that having the field offset line overrides this command?
