That's a parameter I hadn't thought about. Perhaps they added the tape names in a 720P 23.98 project having selected it by mistake. It's interesting that when I got a new bin in a new project to load the clips correctly when I open the original problem bin it mess up the working bin. Sounds like a MOB conflict type situation. Under the hood Avid new both clips were the same and or coming from the same file but the header/metadata information got reinterpreted when I opened the problem bin. If it is a result of adding the tape name in a 720P based project it would make some sense that the misinformation would stick with the tape name just like when Avid first samples a tape a non drop and then balks when you put in the same tape that has a drop frame section and give it the same name. Curious but annoying all at the same time.
