Some clarification regarding How will customers obtain Media Composer | Software (v8.1)
Customers with Internet connections will begin to see notifications of an update in the Application Manager utility. If you click "Update" in Application Manager the utility will initiate the download and installation process without having to go to our website. Note, dongle customers or Floating License customers who used the software in trial mode may see "Buy" instead of "Update." Those without internet connections on their systems or those who wish to manually install the software can obtain the new version from their MyAvid account or the Video Download Center.
The "Support Upgrades" link is used for customers with MC 7 or earlier who are on support and do not have their systems listed under "My Products and Subscriptions." Those that do have their systems listed under "My Products and Subscriptions" will be able to access the new version there.
