How is "Segment Mode" integrated in a merge? If I'm color correcting in src clip name, my usual mode, I can break the link on a clip by going to master clip and traditionally as long as I merged master clips first and then src clip name things would translate okay. Where does Segment Mode color correction fit into the hierarchy of the relational color corrector. Would I want to merge segment mode first then master clip followed by src clip name? What happens if I have an iris shift in a shot that has a src clip name color correction on it. I traditionally add an edit at the iris shift turn the second part of the shot into segment mode color correction and adjust that part to match the pre iris shift part of the shot and then add a dissolve over the transition. Would Avid get that right in a color merge starting with segment mode followed by src clip name merges? I'm not trying to poke holes in the new feature but I am curious how it will react in practice.
