Re: [Avid-L2] Tape capture with Proxies

Nigel

you can do this in DVS Venice on all four channels at once. The proxies can be Mpeg1, 2, 4 or AFN-100 AVC MXF Proxies

The AFN-100 file format uses an MXF container with an H.264 video codec and AC3 audio. It supports timecode and ANC
data within the MXF container. If you want the BITC as well you can set that in the prefs.

HI there

We want to capture tapes in bulk to QT or avid media or OP1a, doesn't matter much and at the same time create provies for client viewing, with some burn in – timecode, tape name prog name etc. They are actually SD tapes.

I'd prefer these to be created during the capture rather than transcoded afterwards. Anyone using anything clever for this?

Thanks
