RE: [Avid-L2] Panasonic Pro Plasma Replacement?

John –

Here's what I know (to the best of my knowledge):

FSI sells direct (as in they do not have resellers) and imports their monitors from China.  Contractually, the Chinese manufacturer prints their name on the bottom bezel of every monitor.

Nothing wrong with any of that.

TVLogic is the name of the Korean company that makes all of the TVLogic monitors, except for the 3 and 4 monitor rack mounts.  They are sold thru a small network of dealers and thru their US distributor.

I am biased, but I would rather buy thru a local dealer so I can wring their neck with any issues.

If you like Kimchi better than Wontons, you might look at TVLogic.

I believe the folks at Flanders Scientific are defectors from TVLogic. I don't have info about pricing, but I seem to remember that when FSI started up, they had pricing a bit better than TVLogic's. Their customer service is pretty darned good, too.
