I agree. Could even be much more useful, if some limitations were taken out. Would also be nice if it didn't look so 1994, but I don't mind that much, as long as it gets the job done (and let's face it, recent interface improvement in MC has not been THAT great).
There is so much list and project control management under the hood of that Application that has saved my butt for sequence data mining. I've extract data for use in conform of HFR finishing.Anyone in project management at Avid surely has to know about it and would not kill an app simply based on a title.They should just rename it scribe just in case.
