[Avid-L2] MC7 H264

Just started on a new show that's been upgraded to MC7.  I have it running on my home computer, but have never used it on a production.  At home I use the newish h264 codec for offline because of the space that it saves, but I'm wondering if this is a viable option for an hour long timeline using multigroups with up to 5 cameras.  I know that h264 is a more CPU intensive codec so I'm wondering if this is going to cause slow timelines or other various problems when we start editing versus using 8:1 or 35:1 SD.  We need to save space because this facility charges per terabyte on their Isis.

Also, if we were to use the h264 codec, would it be compatible with the latest version of MC 5.5?

Thanks
