I think it's about 10 years since we last chatted!
I'm having a devil of a time activating Media Composer 8. As a Flame
artist I have kepy buying Avid and upgrading but no had much time to
install as I have tended to use other people's suites whenever booked to
edit! Anyway v8 got me all excited so I'm installing on my computer at
long last.
I tried installing using the application manager and got rejected :( So
I asked the L and was told to use offline activation, which I have but
it seems to not like me any better than the automated method.
Obviously its not recognizing my prior purchases which may be because I
didn't activate the previous version - or possibly the symphony before
that! - I've been kind of slack and to be honest each time I only ever
have a very small window between jobs to install and each time I hit a
snag I stop trying and just check my familiarity with the 30 day demo.
I am however about to embark on a fairly big edit for a showreel
celebrating my 30th anniversary as an editor and would prefer to do it
on my own machine than use a clients suite so I'd like to try and sort
this out at last.
