We have Script Sync and PhraseFind in stock. We don’t have anymore MC7 in stock. It is my understanding that if you buy MC8 or upgrade via support contract to MC8, you will still have the choice to just go up to MC7.
Subscribers and floating licenses are MC8 only.

Here is the deal…
If you’re on pre-7 you could upgrade today for $299, get the benefits of 7 and anything that comes out in the next year and tech support. You could also choose to choose to cross grade to a subscription for $39.99/mo for the first year with a year commitment and $49.99/mo for the next year. Upgrades and support are included with Subscription.
If you use Scriptsync and need to use Scriptsync you should stay back on 7. If your on an older version (pre 7). Gary B has some MC 7’s and Scriptsync in stock so see him

Dave C's advice is to hold off on the upgrade until they get the deals worked out. Since he is an Avid employee, I would go with his recommendation.
Avid has put a bit of a gun to the head with this support and subscription deal, eh? While there is very little Avid editing in my region anymore, I see no reason to move from 7. It will simply become an offline tool until I can't run it anymore. Kind of sad as this may be the last nail in the Avid-coffin for me (and perhaps others like me).
MHO of course.
