I've been in the middle of developing a system for one of our clients to catalog 30 years of speeches, meetings, etc... PhraseFind on Avid was at the heart of the project so they could find those "remember when" moments. Storage, asset mgmt, AMA. It all depends on having PF. Otherwise, I'll have to go back to shuttling through tapes. If I can't get PF at a reasonable price, what is there to replace it? Adobe Speech Analysis is not a replacement. The prices from Nexidia are outrageous - based on number of hours of material and number of users. 1K hours / 5 user: $10k.
One option would have been to maintain a V7 station, but that won't work now that PF is available even for V7.Curtis Nichols

If you need to use ScriptSync or PhraseFind you should wait to upgrade. I don't have an update on our discussions with our partner, Nexidia, but are trying to figure out how we can make the business arrangements work for both companies.
