Good idea

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at the moment, there is no way to view a neat, concise list of System ID's under one's account at Avid.com.

Clicking on 'Products I Own' displays a list of every activation code that Avid has provided for purchased products.

If, like me, you've been using the Avid Web Store to update your software since version 3.5, the list of Activation codes is a mile long (it includes Avid FX, Squeeze, etc.) and the vast majority of Activation codes are no longer relevant... Who is activating a copy of MC 4 anymore?

There's also no way to correlate an Activation Code with a System ID, and so if you're managing more than a few systems, it's difficult to determine which Activation Codes have been used and which haven't.

Given that System ID's don't change with each upgrade, how about a nice table that shows:

  • Each System ID you own
  • The status of each ID (activated/deactivated)
  • Type (dongle/electronic)
  • Version
  • Support status (with expiration date)
  • A 'notes' column where I can type in the name of the machine that currently uses the license
  • A link to download the version of software associated with the ID

Thanks for reading.
