I never use Sony Content Browser and get all the 8 Ch from a PMW200.
I copy the whole SxS card and then AMA/transcode.
Here's the rub: If you are recording 4 mono channels of audio (like say from a Sony PMW320/350 or the like), you will destroy the audio structure and your files will import with one, mixed mono channel of audio if you do not use the Sony Content Browser to move the files.
