Re: [Avid-L2] Bizarre reproducable bug

Mirroring was bust in 7.0.3 (ok in 7.0.2). Apparently fixed in 7.0.4.

In my training capacity, I have had to use the Thunderbolt port of my MacBookPro laptop to get my screen up to a projector for multiple people to see the Avid UI. I have done this with a Thunderbolt (mini-displayport) to VGA adapter from Apple.

If I mirror my desktop to the projector, whenever I click on a window in the Avid UI, the window disappears as if I closed it and will not come back even if I attempt to call it up from the Windows menu and use the Home key.

If I do NOT mirror the desktop, but put the Avid UI up on the projector with the Menu Bar and then have NOTHING on my laptop screen, it works just fine. But that means I have to control the mouse while looking at a projection screen instead of at the laptop in front of me.

This has happened at two separate facilities now.

I am on v7.03 with the Symphony option. Mac Book Pro is v 10.8.5, 2.2GHz Intel Core i7, 15" MBP with an SSD drive and maxed out RAM.
