Well, OK, that was a useful start, Jeff. Thanks. Opt+ Effects mode button allows me to then the Composer and then stretch it back out to a larger Record side only window as I would like.
But after configuring everything with that single Composer window setup and then saving my Effects Editing Workspace, I stepped out of Effects Editing and then back in and, while all my other arranging of windows is retained, the Composer has reverted to the two-window arrangement.
I've successfully maintained a single-window Effects Editing Workspace at least as far back as the beginning of MC5 through 6.5. Has something changed or am I just not getting it? I'm hoping it's the latter.
