My guess is that you'd be more than happy with an used HP Z800 with Dual Xeons, plenty of RAM and a nVidia Quadro FX4800 -- running on Windows 7 Professional. Those machines are currently selling used at a meaningful discount. The one this I'd be sure to do, however, is upgrade the boot drive to a SSD.
