Scott - Thank you so much for sharing this... and for figuring out the solution in the first place. Great, great tip.

I test out AAFs exported out of Resolve version 9 and 10 importing them into the Avid Bin. I thought I would shed some light on it.In the Avid if an AAF is imported that was created by DaVinci Resolve version 10 and the Avid sequence bin is open at the same time an error can occur in the Avid. I suspect that this is a media object conflict. If on an Avid I see the error, I quit the Avid and delete the corrupted media databases for both .mxf files and AMA files (Avid version 7 now has media databases for AMA). Avid creates new media databases next time it is launched. For Resolve version 10 to avoid the error that I have seen:I made this method to avoid Avid media object conflicts (MOB conflicts) from Resolve version 10 AAFs.step 1) close all binsstep 2) quit the Avidstep 3) launch the Avidstep 4) make a new binstep 5) select the new Avid bin and import the DaVinci Resolve version 10 AAFFor Resolve version 9 to avoid the error that I have seen:I made this method to avoid Avid media object conflicts (MOB conflicts) from Resolve version 9 AAFs.step 1) load the original Avid sequence into the Avid Record Monitorstep 2) import the Resolve version 9 AAF into an Avid BinI have seen green and static video playback because of corrupt media databases.Just thought I would share some fun I have seen.- scott freeman
