RE: [Avid-L2] Re: UK DPP delivery

Ah This seems to be a memory issue v7.03 When making an AVC 100 file, mixdown or export the memory on the workstation is at 99%.. This isn't the case with any other resolution or indeed 7.02 of MC. Sounds like a bug to me!

That's good to know… Could you comment on the AMAEXPORTSYNCHRONISER error as well J

This seems to happen at random places during the export. I think it also happens when you do a video mixdown at AVC100 so I imagine an encoding thing.

Thanks

Nigel et al....

and you all thought engineering didn't follow the L.....   wrong.

Just got the following:

This appears to be a bug in the Avid's AS-11 AMA plug-in. Exported MXF file contains 2 copies of the starting timecode, both copies are supposed to be the same but are different due to the bug. Various AS-11 dumper tools look at different timecode instances in the file. For example, Media Composer, DPP Metadata Application and bmx AS-11 info dumper use the "correct" value but MediaInfo looks at the other value that happens to be wrong.

Bug has been logged and a fix will be coming - not sure when though.
