Re: [Avid-L2] Need ISIS experience...recommendations?

Mike, I'm not in NY. What you describe is not necessarily a bad idea but before you decide to work for low or no pay, here's something to consider. From the editor's perspective, straight ISIS acts pretty much like any of the previous Avid Unity products and a lot like other shared storage. Unless you're doing administration or maintenance, there's not much to learn. ISIS/Interplay has more for the editor / assistant editor to learn so trading some of your time for hands on experience might make more sense. Again, the people who really need to learn Interplay are the administrators and maintenance people. You know what your time is worth. Make sure you're getting a decent value before you trade it. Good luck. --J.B.

Can anyone recommend / know of a facility in NY that may be looking for a part-time or overnight media manager, assistant editor, or any other position that would contain ISIS experience. Looking for experience more than a rate so low-pay is not an issue.
