speaking of Go Pro we had 360 Hero across from the booth which was a great camera mount for a drone
Last day of NAB they set it free so I caught it on my phone
Also submerse mounts

When I went to NAB in 2012, GoPro's booth was always busy and had the most energy. They are masters of content marketing.

Here is my rather non tech-minded take. First time back to NAB in about 5 years.Go Pro is the new Apple. Huge cult, culture, their video on every monitor and the best video at the show. Now I know why no one could get the new mac pros. All were sold to vendors for the show. Now I know why you could not get a Blackmagic pocket Cinema camera. All given to raffles for giveaway.I instantly regained my fear of hitting my head on the camera jib arm while walking around Central Hall. If you have ever done it, the memory never fades and just being around all those jibs made me duck in fear.I still smell like cigarettes.LouNAB generally runs in two year cycles. One year they say "this is the new thing" the next year it's "here are some workflows for the new thing"Last year was all "4K"This year there was a lot of folks trying to figure out how to work with it.
Too many storage companies. At least 5 film scanner booths who didn't realize they had just been put out of business by Blackmagic.Resolve who's more improvements as an NLE than any other NLE out there. (This doesn't mean it's a great NLE, just that they seem to be doing more development than anyone else. They also have farther to go)Too much "Everywhere or Anywhere" cliche stuff going one as manufacturers rush to make it easier to outsource our jobs.PS: resolve has collaborative editing features now. I suggested they call it "Blackmagic Anywhere/Everywhere"
