Re: [Avid-L2] Fraps: Best MC Mac Workflow?

I just checked one of these files using 'Videospec' (thanks to someone on here for mentioning this). The File container format reports as AVI and the codec as FRAPS. MPEG Streamclip will open and convert these files on a Mac (I don't think my client made any changes to the files before I got them).

Are these lengthy?

How about an image sequence?

Yeah, the files arrive as .avi, but the codec is Fraps and, as best I can tell, MPEG Streamclip on Mac can't open a Fraps. The client (working on PCs) has been compressing them to H.264 and I've been transcoding them within Avid. Just not sure if that's the best bet. I've suggest he try to install DNxHD codex and then try Streamclip.

I've dealt with these. Client converted them to AVIs which I could cope with (converted AVIs to ProRes with MPEG Streamclip on Mac).
