Re: [Avid-L2] Examining Video Essence level with ama link to file?

I did check the probable QT ref export settings that were used and they were clicked to RGB levels.  My assumption is that might have been a contributing factor to this low levels.  I have successfully used export from QT pro to take an Avid QT ref and make a prores HQ with only a very slight gamma shift.  All vectors in the boxes etc...  When I do it I export at 601/709 setting for the QT ref.  It is a cluster flop in the making and it was only after doing tests and relinking to ama the resulting files did I adopt this workflow.  The real underlying question is what is the most accurate way to check the true video essence levels without QT or any other interference.  I've been using a link to ama to look at files on my scope to verify proper levels.  Is there a more accurate way to check levels on a file?
