[Avid-L2] Upgrading Symphony 6.5.x and MC 6.5.x to Ver 7 before MC 8 comes out?

At the recent Editor's Lounge with Avid I asked whether it is advantageous to upgrade to Ver 7.0 from 6.5.x on the symphony and mc sides as the 3rd party effects bundled in Ver. 8 will be "lite" versions.  I already have BCC 8 for my two symphony 6.5 and mc 6.5 systems and I was told those will still work in V8.  I also have Sorenson and AvidFX which I was also told will continue to work with Ver. 8.  To be accurate I was told they weren't going to do anything to break them.  So I'm not clear if I upgraded to ver. 7.x before V 8 is released how much of a benefit there would be for me 3rd party apps wise. If I understood correctly the New Blue Titler that comes with the mc/symphony option upgrade to V7 is a Ver, 2.0 whereas the version that will come with Avid V. 8 will be a 1.0 version and or a "lite" version.  The lite versions will also be of BCC with only 4 effects.  There is a production bundle for V8 that includes the non lite versions of the 3rd party plugins.  I don't think that AvidFX is still in the mix in the bundle for V8 but as I previously mentioned I was told my old 6.5 version should still work.

Can somebody help to clarify if there is a real advantage to upgrading to V7 first.  It seems the the New Blue Titler V2 is one thing.  Also If I upgrade to V7 now will there be any auto upgrade to V8 which is coming real soon?  In the past there have been a few months of back upgrades that would qualify to the new release and I'm wondering if that would still apply.
