In my experience with V9 it doesn't support both at the same time. The Resolve project has to be set to either drop or non drop before you bring in any media and once you've brought in any media that parameter can't be changed in that project. Do you have to create the Avid media that is drop in a different Resolve project from the Avid media that is Non-Drop? I would consider Resolve changing the time code base from drop to nondrop and vice versa a change in metadata. So I really don't understand how you take an Avid AAF that has mixed time codes into Resolve and create Avid media that isn't all the same time code base as the Resolve project setting. That would require two projects from my experience with V9. It would also require parsing out what was drop and what was non drop and I can't remember if Resolve uses the semi colon distinction for time code type given all it's time code base is based on the project setting. This time code base discrepancy is exactly what I demonstrated to you at the Editor's Lounge and you agreed that it was a problem. Has something changed in the software since then?
