Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Blu ray recorder

Psf is in essence interlaced video electronically but the two fields come from the same moment in time not 1/59.94 secs or 1/50 secs later in time.  Now the question is when it comes to the display device does it have any capacity to buffer the psf fields and display them as one continuous progressive frame as it would with a truly progressive source?  Also is there any aspect of the food chain that would benifit by knowing the "interlace" file is progressive in nature so it wouldn't apply any deinterlacing or other processing?  Then with say my new Panny Plasma 60 inch if I feed it 29.97P does it scan one full frame top to bottom or does it interlace the two psf's on display.  With 720P it is scanning full frames top to bottom isn't it?  Does it do the same with 1080P/29.97 material?
