Re: [Avid-L2] Has Pan and Zoom gotten in even worse In MC7?

Yeah that 30 amp plug allowed me to burn out an entire stage/studio the night before a taping.  I warned the engineers when we rented the ADO it needed 30 amps but they just grabed a 30 amp to regular plug and then plugged that into the end of an in rack power strip that was already feeding the rack equipment.  My Tape Op smelled smoke in the middle of the night edit session but it went away.  The next morning tape day there was something like 70 volts in half the racks and something upwards of 150 volts in the other racks.  Needless to say we had an engineering hold for a while.  They discovered the neutral wire for the rack they had plugged the ADO into had gotten so hot in the breaker box it melted a bunch of the other neutral wires feeding the other racks.  Hence the whacky voltages and they blew fuses in a bunch of equipment.  I was told there were even little fuses buried in the DA tubs that had to be replaced.  I was the editor TD so it wasn't my fault and I had warned them.  Oh and I won't go into the part where they didn't get me a gpi interface tor the GVG-41 and I had to drive to a nearby facility and pinch there gpi interface for the night.  Nobody understood I couldn't build solids without a gpi.  ;-(
