I don't think anyone has answered this part of the question:
In order to link C300 MXFs, you need the Canon XF AMA plugin.

This is *in addition to* the MXF AMA plugin, which in MC v7 is already installed.In order to link C300 MXFs, you need the Canon XF AMA plugin.

Once you have both, then just option-drag-drop the folder above the CONTENTS folder into a bin. Or pick "Canon MXF Something [folder]" in the AMA link dialog, and point to it.

For this reason, I always place the CONTENTS folder inside some other folder that is descriptive of the card or the day, such as CARD1_030414. Then, in AMA, point to the CARD1_030414 folder.
