Re: [Avid-L2] Flex Frame issues

I have similar issues with FrameFlex with SD footage. I don't think they tested it properly (and it is screwy with 16:9 as well as 4:3). I've asked for it to be able to be switched off but at present it can't. I suspect that the files are being misinterpreted. Check in the bin - there is a column for Pixel AR - you might be able to do something there. I find it is normally OK unless I open the Effect Editor then it goes wrong.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Flex Frame issues

I had some SD 4x3 footage that was cut into an HD sequence.  I want to upconvert this stuff through our Teranex so I opened an NTSC 4x3 project and opened the HD timeline and cut the SD stuff into an SD timeline.  The Flex Frame has reformatted the SD 4x3 material to be 16x9 and I'm having to go through each clip individually and change the Pixel ratio to 1:1 (square) in order to make these 4x3.  Square doesn't make sense anyway in NTSC.  What is going on here and can I turn off Flex Frame so I don't need to deal with this?
