But there weren’t enough DS users. Granted Avid made a Frankenstein of it with the MC face but the take up by users was very limited and so development stagnated so users held back and waited to see and then the inevitable happened.
The best we can hope is that some of the cool stuff from DS appears in MC. I always fancied DS as a plugin for MC all the best of DS and all the best of MC.
My fear is we’ll see a dilution of MC with more and more changes that drag it in all sorts of directions with no clear focus.
