Even then, You are looking around 1.5-2 Gb/sec (800 read + 800 write).  Well below the 5Gb limit of USB 3.0.

If Sony doubles that speed in the next version, I assume they will use USB 3.1, which has a limit of 10Gb/s.

It can become an issue when both source and destination devices are all connected via that architecture.
