I interviewed a number of Hollywood feature editors and assistants for my upcoming Avid book, "Avid Uncut." One of them said that he always uses DNxHD 115 for the offline because it gives a great picture for the preview and test screenings. This from the editor of one of the Best Picture OSCAR nominees. Clearly, a guy with the budget to store hundreds of hours of DNxHD115. But that's really just about 50gigs an hour... so 10-20 terabytes? I've got that at my shop, though not devoted to a single project.
