Don't know how much if any is needed for the job. The Marketing Program Manager looks like more of a line producer or UPM gig (an admittedly coarse analogy). The person won't be a conference speaker and may not even select conference speakers…they just need to know enough to listen to the right people.
I still don't know if the ACA is a group for someone like me, but it is good to see Avid hiring people to make the the group potentially successful.
