Re: [Avid-L2] AMA Manager - Failure getting the OS volume ID for this volume - AMA won't link to folders

I'm sure that more sophisticated troubleshooting ideas will roll in,
but my first thought is to ask if there are any forward slashes or back slashes in any of the folder or file names.
If so, replace them with underscores and see if that helps.

Hi,

I'm running Media Composer 7.0.3 on a Mountain Lion system 10.8.5.  We're in the middle of a 30 day shoot using a C300 camera. I've downloaded the Canon XF plugin. (xpmm-2-0-3-8-9) and I think all of my plugins are up-to-date.  All of the first couple of week's footage linked via AMA just fine.  When I went to link the footage from December 31 through January 4, it would not link via any of the AMA settings.  The assistant camera says he did not update the firmware; the audio guy, who is jam-sync'd to the camera also says he did not make any changes to the system.

Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone at Avid have any insight to why the system all of a sudden won't AMA link?  I did a quick internet search for this error message, and the only other problem/solution that came up was a file hierarchy problem.  I don't think that's an issue with me as the first two weeks linked up just fine.

Thanks,
