When I watch the 30 frame code, usually NDF, on a sequence from an NTSC 23.976 project it typically skips the :02 and :07 frames. Now I'm on a project where the TC1 of the sequence is drop frame and it skips ;04 and ;09. Is this because the sequence is drop frame and not the usual non drop frame? The sequence begins at 00;59;50;00 so there is no 2 frame offset between drop and non drop at the 1;00;00;00 point like there is when you have a minute and a half of bars tone and slate. I have taken the sequence and cut it into a new sequence in the 23.976 HD project so that has a proper TC1 of 24 frame code but I'm curious if I'm on the right track as to why the original sequence oddly skipped ;04 and ;09 frames.
