Re: [Avid-L2] Electronic program delivery that includes closed captioning

If you are delivering xdcam you should also take a look to cpc caption now owned by telestream.
It has a pretty straight forward workflow.

Avid has a whitepaper on AS-11. AS11 is based on AS-03, which is a PBS spec.

Check out also The Advance Media Workflow Association

or, from the UK

Also, check out two companion formats called AS-02, which allows re-versioning (like melt reels, that simply point to the original material) and AS12 which contains tracking data from origin to delivery.

Can someone point me to a brief / white paper / whatever on how to make electronic delivery of program-length material that includes closed captioning? Google's not getting me a definitive answer.

Is this XDCam export, or AS11? What are US broadcasters accepting?

We've been delivering tape for long-form and electronic for short-form, but would like to offer electronic for long-form, and have a 'demonstration' opportunity coming up next week.
