I use MC 7.0.2 w/Symph option, and I had Symphony 6.5.2 (If I remember correctly).
At least for me, the performance in both systems is pretty cool, and didn't feel any difference when I move to MC 7.0.2 w/S. Both rock solid.
What I really use in the new one and I love is the background process and the Luts. They are really usefull for me.

or
b. upgrade to MC 7.0.2 w/ Symphony add-on (but with backward compatibility to MC 6.5(.4).

I looked to see how MC 7.0.2 w/ Symphony is performing but I have not seen much other than some people have difficulty on MBP's. I run a Z800 with 24GD RAM. My inclination is to move forward but would love some feedback.
