Try forcing use of the correct AMA plugin rather than autodetect. I think it’s the AVCHD one you want but I might be wrong.

Subject: [Avid-L2] AMA Problems with Sony F-55 clips
Going round in, albeit ever decreasing, circles at the moment.
Got a problem AMAing F55 footage into MC7 machines. I've finally
managed to sort out the file structure after the assistant 'helped' by
just copying the clip folders and removed all the extra files. (Found
the back up of the cards - Pheww).
Have got the clips working in content Browser. I can read the
information about the files and they are:
Clip Details
PMW-F55
AVC Intra Class 100
25p
1920x1080 16:9
On both of the V7 machines I am trying load up the clips in I can get
the bins populated. But when I try to load the clip in the clip monitor
I get the good old "Exception: Failed to get the sample position from
the AMA Plug-in'. Black screen and I can't play audio with the video
monitoring turned off.
From the Info window I can see I have the following AMA plugins loaded up:
AVCHD MSP 1.3
AVCHD MSP 1.3
Avid MXF MSP Plug in 1.1
Sphere 1.1
QuickTime Plug in 1.3
AS-02 1.2
AS-11 1.0
MSP_SonyXDCAMEXMP4_64bit 1.5007
MVP_CanonXF64 2.0
MVP_SonyXDCAMEX_64bit 1.5007
MSP_MXF Plugin 1.9
MVP_MSP_SonyRaw_64bit 1.3031
MVP_MSP_SonySRDeck_64bit 2.2013
WaveAiff Plug-in 1.0
MVP_MSP_SonyXDCAM_64-bit 3.2011
Anyone got any ideas?
Much thanks in advance.
Marcus
