[Avid-L2] Re: [FCP-L] Anyone love or hate the Blackmagic Ultrascope?

For some of us, having a gamut display is critical. Are there any lesser costly scopes like the Smart Scope Duo that has that feature? Is there a way to interpret gamut from typical scopes?

When I first learned of it, I was instructed to simply keep the colors on the vectorscope below the targets. But that wouldn't seem to work on black levels if I'm not mistaken.

buy the Smart Scope Duo from Blackmagic.  The Ultrascope is a lot of effort.  You can have TWO Smart Scope Duo's, for the price of one Ultrascope with the computer, and correct graphics card.

I'm creating my 2014 tech budget and a recent project reminded me that we REALLY need something like this.

Please let me know if you love it or hate it and why.

Thanks!
