I miss the weightlifter too, John, especially since I used to be one! I also miss the scissors. I think these changes are silly - why exactly is it necessary to have things look and sound like Pro Tools? How does that make anybody's work life easier? Assuming you're that rare bird that actually operates both systems, would the difference in terminology and icons really confuse you?

The part I don't understand is, what was wrong with the old buttons? For that matter, what was wrong with the term "locator"? Or, the Weightlifter? If Avid has a scarcity of development resources, why do they waste them on things that don't improve the product? --J.B.
