Or better yet, be able to install/upgrade them from within MC.  That would be too easy for the user though so scratch that.

I think the problem is we have to deal with various websites to get a handful of common AMA plugins. It is inconsistent.  I don't understand why you can't make it part of the installation or at least similar to how you package Nvidia drivers.  

If there is no compatible plugin at release then leave it empty. If a compatible version exists package it.

Avid doesn't host the AMA plug-in's - the 3rd parties do as they change regularly.   Not sure what part of the below "doesn" work.
